Steve Talbot

Steve is a native of Salt Lake City. He attended West high school and began playing the clarinet at the age of 14. He attended both Weber State University and the University of Utah. He participated in the marching bands at both institutions. While at the University of Utah he began studying the oboe. Over the years work took him away from music. However, after retiring for health reasons in 2010, he took up music again, focusing full time on the oboe and the English horn. For 20 years Steve lived in Stuart, Florida, where he played with the Stuart Fl. Community Concert Band, and the Treasure Coast Symphony Orchestra. In 2023 Steve relocated back home to Utah. He currently performs with the Murray Symphony Orchestra, the Salt Lake Men’s Choir, and now, with the Skyward Symphony.
