Elisabeth Barlow

Liz learned to play trombone the summer before her freshman year of highschool, after attending a combined orchestra/band concert and falling in love with the sound of the band and combined symphony. She mustered up the courage to ask the high school band teacher (Steve Parks of Ogden High) what instrument the band needed. He set her on the path of learning trombone. It was one of the best decisions she made at that time. It opened the door to a whole world of music yet unexplored, and gave her a chance to make important and lasting friendships that would shape her high school years into happy ones.

After high school Liz and her trombone parted ways for some time until her little sister introduced her to Skyward Symphony. Missing the beautiful influence of music in her life, Liz dusted off the old trombone and resparked her love of playing. It has been a happy five years of learning and growing with music once again.
