Brenna Merrill

Brenna is the fifth of 11 children, all of whom play an instrument! Brenna has played the clarinet for 14 years, playing in school bands, state competitions, and in the Davis High School marching band for four years. Brenna was a drum major in 2014-2015, taking second in the State of Utah. She has played in the Skyward Symphony since the fall of 2022.

Brenna obtained her Master’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, specializing in Family Relations. Brenna developed the Divorce Education for Children curriculum for the State of Utah’s Judiciary Courts system. She has experience working with families in hospital settings, hospice care, impoverished circumstances, and divorce cases. Brenna was the Graduate Director for 2021-2022 academic year at Utah State University. As a graduate student, Brenna assisted in multiple research projects, including the Utah Women & Leadership Project. Currently, Brenna works on global humanitarian efforts for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Beyond playing the clarinet, Brenna enjoys playing spikeball, running, going on hikes, and watching basketball.
