Alysha Smith

Alysha loves music and has played her violin in symphonies, rock bands, and bluegrass bands since she was a youngster. She was trained in the Suzuki method starting at the age of five and studied under Jack Ashton in high school playing in his orchestras and taking private lessons. She went to Ricks College on a music scholarship playing in their symphonies and orchestras. Later she played with the Mormon Youth Symphony and the Utah Valley Symphony. While it has been several years since she has played classical music regularly, she has kept up her passion for playing in different genres for several bands, performing in music festivals, and touring. She is excited to be joining the Skyward Symphony and playing what will be her first official concert in 15 years.
